Bitwallet.cc is a scam
Bitwallet.cc support has not responding to anyone’s messages in over a year.
Bitcoin that goes into wallets there does not come out and there is no way to get it back because they do not allow you to control the private seeds of your wallet.
Messages on Reddit show multiple people having their bitcoin stolen
Please stop using Bitwallet.cc
This was an exit scam. That is where someone starts a business that looks legitimate and operates legitimately for months. Then after gaining the trust of customers the scammer takes their money and disappears.
Exit scams are hard to avoid, here are a few tips.
- Don’t store bitcoin with services/wallets that allow you to control your bitcoin wallet private seed.
- Early adoption is great but understand the high risk that comes with it and act accordingly
- Only work with companies/websites that are based in the US and with a well known and reputable US citizen as the owner. That way you have some legal recourse.
