Localbitcoins has made some big changes recently. They started by increasing the verification needed to trade on their site and sharing that information with other organizations.
Today they took the next step in reducing the sites value by deleting all local trade ads. The ads are not deactivated as they done in the past when they made changes to their payment options. The ads were deleted with no warning or notification. Many traders simply logged in to find all their ads gone.
LocalBitcoins has not responded to anyone about why they did this. They have also disabled the forums so the discussion about what has happened moved to reddit.

When a website with the words “Local Bitcoins” in their name stops offering the local trades and what they claimed to be their core purpose, they are abandoning what they stood for and their users.
